On Tuesday, November 11, 2014, two members of the Women Veterans ROCK! East Coast Region were featured on Power Your Life with Dr. Jo Anne White which aired on WMCN, TV.
The Power Your Life TV Show presents an upbeat and inside look into the many pressing issues and cutting-edge trends that affect women, men, 40+ years, and their families. The show is designed to offer real solutions to life’s many challenges by engaging guests and experts in their field. Vicki Curtis
Curtis is a Disabled Veterans Outreach Specialist (DVOP) and Intensive Services Coordinator for the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and the Philadelphia Veterans Affairs (VA) CareerLink Office. As a disabled Navy Veteran, she has spent her career working to improve services for the Veteran community. She worked as an Employment Interviewer with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and a Local Veterans Employment Representative (LVER) before taking on her current position.
Working for the Commonwealth, she has provided employment, training, and emergency referral services to active duty military, disabled Veterans, and their families. In addition, she pioneered the effort to open the door for adults with intellectual disabilities to use VA Chapter 35 education benefits at Temple University. Mrs. Curtis has also shared her home with homeless Veterans and their families for many years. In 2010, Vicki began supporting The Women Veterans ROCK! Advocacy Campaign in her professional capacity and became one of Women Veterans ROCK!’s most dedicated and enthusiastic supporters. By 2012, she was appointed as the Eastern Pennsylvania State President.
Tiffany T. Johnson-Pittman
Tiffany T. Johnson-Pittman is a US Air Force Veteran, having served a total of 11 years, with two tours to Iraq. She is an author, singer, songwriter and entrepreneur. Additionally, Tiffany is the Women Veterans ROCK! PA State Ambassador and received the Women Veterans ROCK! Rising Star Award in 2012. Currently, Tiffany works at the Montgomery County Vet Center in Norristown, PA.
