“Today’s Military Women Are The New & Emerging
Faces of Public Leaders in America.”
~ Deborah Harmon-Pugh, National Campaign Chair
Women Veterans ROCK! is a vibrant community of Military Millennial Women. Every year we engage some 350+ Military Women and ROTC Cadet Girls, (ages 16+), in Civic Leadership Training; Civic Engagement Forums on Capitol Hill; and we work to empower them as Public Policy Advocates. Our graduates then move on to become proud members of The Women Veterans 2020 Delegation to Washington, DC.
This year, The Women Veterans Civic Leadership Institute expanded its civic leadership training for JROTC Cadet Girls. We instituted a STEM Civic Leadership Education & Engagement component to our incubator program. Working in partnership with The School District of Philadelphia, Women Veterans ROCK is the new innovator in this inter-generational civic engagement initiative for Women and Girls in Military Families.
The “Women Veterans ROCK!” Civic Leadership Institute is supported by its long-term Community Partner, Chestnut Hill College and is funded in part by it’s National Enduring Partner, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated – the nation’s only Greek Letter Organization with a nationwide initiative “Supporting America’s Women Veterans And Military Families.”
