What the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Improvements Bill Means for Our Veterans
January 2011 – President Obama signs into law the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Improvements Act (S.3447). This upgraded “Post-9/11 GI Bill 2.0” expands benefits to new veterans studying at vocational schools, grants full GI Bill credit to National Guardsmen and women responding to national disasters and simplifies the Yellow Ribbon Program for veterans enrolling at private schools.
