Women Veterans Civic Leadership Institute – The Fall Semester: Civic Leadership Training & Professional Development Workshop Series
The Women Veterans Civic Leadership Institute, (WVCLI), Civic Leaders Training Series provides participants with a dynamic and interactive Civic Leadership Incubator consisting of 4 phases of education, training, professional development and civic engagement which includes:
- An Intensive Workforce & Leadership Development Forum & Summer Kick-Off Retreat
- Fall Semester Civic Leadership Training & Education Series @ Chestnut Hill College
- Master Mind Classes In Civic Engagement: Public Policy Day on Capitol Hill / Spring Semester
- E-Portfolio Development & Documentation
- Nationwide Alumni Association Network of Leading Military Women / Membership
Phase I – Civic Leadership Summer Retreat For Military Women – Phase I consists of an intensive series of Workforce and Leadership Development Workshops focusing on the core components of Civic, Business and Community Nonprofit Leadership. It delivers new updates on civic, community, and business leadership opportunities that are highly compatible for today’s experienced and engaged military women. Phase I presents a generalist overview of the 6 primary components of The WVCLI (i.e., Advocacy; Boards; Commissions; Councils; Campaigning; and the Alumni Association). These fundamentals are the important core components of The Institute’s civic leadership training and education.
Phase I of this exciting civic leadership development program begins at the Annual Women Veterans Summer Leadership Retreat, in May/June.
Phase II – The Fall Civic Leadership Training & Development Series – Phase II is a series of 4 one-day intensive training and education workshops designed to develop your skills as new and emerging Military Women In Public Leadership. The Civic Leadership Training & Educations Series is a comprehensive collection of: workshops; case study review & analysis; panel discussions; debates on topical public issues; public speaking training forums to build confidence and public speaking skills. Participating fellows will receive professional instruction in the development of their own Civic Leaders E-Portfolio to document, track and present the results of their civic leaders fellowship for future leadership opportunities. Phase II is dedicated to building tomorrow’s leaders; promoting civic engagement and community service; expanding digital literacy and digital competency. (Earn CEU’s)
Phase II of our Civic Leadership Training & Development Series is conducted during the Fall Months of September, October, November and December on the campus of Chestnut Hill College, Philadelphia, PA.
Classes are held ONE SATURDAY EACH MONTH during the Fall Semester.

October – Getting Your Seat At The Table! / Where & How To Find Community Leadership Opportunities For Today’s Military Women
November- Look Like A Leader. Present Like A Leader. Gain Influence Through Public & Workforce Leadership
December – How To Become A Civic Asset / Being A Women of Public Influence In Civic, Business & Community Leadership / Closing Reception & Luncheon Program
Phase III – The Civic Leaders “Public Policy Day on Capitol Hill” – Phase III is our custom designed Civic Engagement Day featuring the yearly Women Veterans Public Policy Day on Capitol Hill in Washington , DC. The Women Veterans Public Policy Day is hosted every March in commemoration of America’s national celebration of Women’s History Month. This is a by-invitation-only event extended to Participating and Registered Delegates of The Women Veterans Public Policy Delegation (c).
Participating Delegates are selected from The Top 100 Delegates registered in The Women Veterans Public Policy Delegation of Military Women To Washington, DC. All Women Veterans; Military Women; & JROTC Cadet Girls (age 16+) In Military Families are eligible to become Registered Delegates of The Women Veterans Public Policy Delegation.
Phase IV – The Women Veterans ROCK! National Alumni Association – Phase IV is your enrollment in The Women Veterans Public Policy Delegation as a proud “Registered” Woman Veteran Public Policy Delegate To Capitol Hill as well as being a “Registered Member” of Women Veterans ROCK National Alumni Association Network. You will join other leading professional Military Women who are committed to the advancement of today’s military women as tomorrow’s civic leaders.
The Women Veterans ROCK! National Alumni Association Network provides Registered Delegates with the unique opportunity to secure special VIP Alumni Invites to Women Veterans ROCK! Media Events and our Nationwide Speakers Bureau Network of opportunities.
