The Women Veterans ROCK Community remains dedicated to Post-Military Civic Engagement. Meet Retired USAF Veteran, Barbara Pittman. With over two decades of distinguished military service, she transformed her dedication to Military Leadership into a passion for Community Based Civic Engagement.
Ms. Barbara Pittman retired from the United States Air Force after 24 years of honorable military service. Upon separation, she was appointed to serve as the Director of the District of Columbia Office of Veterans Affairs. Her additional community leadership and civic engagement endeavors include serving as the Capitol Region President of Women Veterans ROCK; DC State Director of the Selective Services System for the past 10 years; and she serves on the Board of Directors of the National Congress of Black Women.
